CenterPointe – Area Description
Interstate 385 has been referred to as the “Path of Growth” for several years and will continue to lead this area’s growth far into the future. This location was chosen for this very reason, and CenterPointe is the result of a long term accumulation of many properties.
Since 1995, this area of Greenville County has experienced explosive economic growth. During this time, more than 750 companies have either expanded existing facilities or located new ones in Greenville County alone, creating more than 15,000 jobs.
The service sector and the residential real estate markets have also followed suit. The population has increased by approximately 18% and advanced planning continues to provide for this growth through expanded infrastructure, new schools and other amenities. The residential neighborhoods are plentiful and varied, and can accommodate virtually every income level. All of these are within an easy commute of CenterPointe, and several are within walking distance.
New schools have been built, and others are continually being planned and approved in order to accommodate the continued growth in this desirable area. The public schools that surround CenterPointe are among the best in the State as well as the Southeast, with approximately 80% of their students entering colleges or trade schools.
All of this growth is due in great part to the foresight of the leaders in this region. The infrastructure is planned well in advance of development in order that companies like yours can get up and running with minimal time and little red tape.
South Carolina continues to be a leader in the Southeast in commercial and industrial growth and Greenville County has led the state’s growth in these areas for decades, while enjoying one of the nation’s lowest union rates. This is all due to a unique cooperative effort by the State, County and local residents and governments. |
